Is campagnolo the best cycling parts you can buy or is it shimano? - campagnolo cycling
Campagnolo parts are the best bike you can buy or Shimano? I think everything boils down to what you are doing, what kind of driver who can do it really.
If you put the Dura Ace, folders, Ultegra and a range of 105S on four different bikes and people on each trip, 95% could not make a difference, and believe me, they are not there more quickly than the others.
I horse for twenty years and since then I have to count the number of passengers in one hand and fingers of the left that could actually answer this question.
They are drivers who are or will be strong enough and good enough to get a Record or Dura Ace on the floor or on the actual consumer, at least you can do that are not really important.
Most drivers today are a group of Campy Record or Dura Ace group to do it for the look, is a question of prestige (WOW factor) and that's all.

Campagnolo long before Shimano, founded and Tullio Campagnolo, the man responsible for the output pin and the rapid modern derailleur. But Campy, everything I do is, with Shimano FISH!
Campagnolo parts are handcrafted in Italy and can be rebuilt. Aestheticaly are pleasant, and almost indestructible.
Shimano parts are working well, but if they throw to the break and get new ones. They are mass produced cheaply by working in Taiwan and have transformed themselves from carbon fiber and other advanced materials.
Campagnolo is an investment that will last for years. We are no one was in a tender for 1970 Shimano cranks on eBay, while Super Record is there.
You make the call.
what a Pandora's box has been opened. Some men are men, and some Shimano Campy, it really depends on your preference. The chances are good that if you rode a bike with full Campy Shimano Dura-Ace "back-to-back would have difficulty determining the difference.
Similarly, SRAM has begun to do things well enough.
I've heard both. I prefer Campagnolo, but not always better in every way. On the one hand, comfortable perches Shimano hoods STDs hand are super. The section below the top of the bell of sexually transmitted diseases is a position that is not Campy. And Shimano dual pivot brakes are much stronger, but the victim of the modulation accuracy of Campylobacter (not low) per measure. In addition, Campy was stronger. The bottom bracket and Campy cranks for my bike is solid, do not rub the chain. The change is not as smooth as Shimano, but always positive, and I've never been a change since I Campy. We can not say Shimano. Campy is sexy! Period! Shimano not only this kind of emotional reaction of the riders. And if the weight weenie sides are correct, Campy gruppo are slightly lighter than the equivalent Shimano gruppo.
There is no better, but Campy Record / Super Record is a high baseline, but again, if Shimano Dura-Ace/XTR. In my opinion, some parts are Shimano Dura-Ace better than Campy Record parts and vice versa. I think Campy has a better name, but in the sense that people know and see Campagnolo parts and that is probably a very good product, while Shimano made some very bad things.
Personal preference mainly, but here are some reasons that I prefer Campy are:
- The internal parts are small, can for a decent home mechanic to replace. And they are in stock in all that you get 'em fast can. That was very helpful when it crashed and destroyed my brake / shift instead - for the purchase of a new product for $ 100 + I bought 2 pieces of $ 15 and was back in business in a few days. Shimano does not make it.
- The "feeling" is robust - hard to describe, if you mount it.
- Shifters Campy multiple changes of speed from top to bottom. Shimano does not.
- Completed Campy is a little more bling factor.
- Campy has a much higher price if it is important to you. Thus, in terms of value for every dollar you can get deals with Shimano.
Shimano I use, because it is easier to get parts for it is very common. I cycling and charity Shimano mechanical things are always in business support. The bummer part is knowing when it breaks, replace it, because there are no small parts.
Campy - are usually expensive and not very common in all areas of charity. Most of the shops near my house for little or no value. The advantage is that you are in damn near every bit we can fix it if it breaks.
SRAM - is new, it may still not common, it is not cheap. I do not know how many stores to keep the device at camp (not in my neighborhood, but there are a few that I have not checked). I think there are small parts for the repair, but I did not see it. Everyone I spoke mounted components such as SRAM, I am still trying so I do not lie about it. It was not the longest show either Campy or Shimano, but only the time.

Everything is personal preference. It is impossible to say which company is best.
Campy Record stuff is best. I have friends who agrees with Dura-Ace vs. Registry and any use, Campy Record is the best. Dura-Ace stuff is so cheaply made, I do not think is really cool. You pay a lot for a gruppo like to just keep replacing parts. If I go with Shimano, I'd buy more Ultegra Dura-Ace. Best quality.

Someone once said that he represents a Pandora's box has opened.
Campy Shimano is Lexus and Mercedes. Both have their good and bad.
I saw something of the freshness of change. "There is no doubt that this kitschy with Shimano, but many prefer to call" surgical "bulky", there is little feedback of human Campy parts. .. Some say it is not necessary, since its equipment is so precise that rather reject.
However, I have several bikes, a few) with Campy (SR, recording and some Shimano (Dura Ace and Ultegra) and my favorite is outfitted a Ultegra Phoenix 853 Bob Jackson frame (made from steel tubes Reynolds 853), passing as one of my bikes to lower prices ... go figure.
