If you are in North America, both are on sale. The Elantra Touring SE is a great car. I got mine for $19,600 including destination fee and sales tax. Not as powerful as the Mazda 3, but the steering and suspension are every bit as good, and the Touring carries twice the cargo.
Not sure of the Honda Insight, but they will give you more information on the Elantra Touring
